The Pioneer volleyball team took down Cambria-Friesland in four sets on Thursday, Oct. 20. To make it through the first round of regionals, they beat Marion in a quick three sets on Tuesday, Oct. 18. 

On Thursday, they beat Cambrian Friesland in four sets. The Pioneers lost the first set but won three in a row.

anly said. “I knew that we could play better than we were.” 

Bailey Rikkola led with 24 digs on the defense, while Johanna Andrea had 23 kills offensively.

As they prepare for the regional final game, head coach Rox Schopf is confident. 

“If we communicate, call the ball, and work together as a team, we got this,” head coach Rox Schopf said. “But most of all, [we need to] have some fun. They all love volleyball, and if they have fun, it shows in the win column. 

The Pioneers take on Central Wisconsin Christian in Waupun on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7 pm. The winner will move on to sectionals.
