Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matthew Cox takes Sevastopol’s center stage and will be performed on November 4 and 5 at 7pm, and November 6 at 2pm.

For seven years, a certain boy wizard went to a certain wizarding school and conquered evil. This, however, is not that story. This is the story of the Puffs, who just happened to be there too. Puffs is a tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

This clever and inventive play gives a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders.

“Puffs is a great reminder to try and look at a story through another person’s eyes,” Director Amy Ensign said. “It’s also really fun and has lots of opportunities for Sevastopol students.”

Students in fourth through twelfth grade make up the cast. The cast includes Finn Mathews, Merrick Mann, Bea Dramm, Addison Schauske, Lucas Aspey, Izzy Wadkins, Abbi Hayes, Logan Simon, Braelyn Staats, Zoey Copiskey, Autumn Sargent, Addison Wotachek, Molly Jefferson, Sophie Tanck, Vivienne Tanck, Victoria Fiscus, Ryder Ortmayer, Jackson Toivonen, Henry Mathews, Michael Mann, Josie Serrahn, and Brennan Staats. Amy Ensign is directing the show.

No tickets are needed for the show, though free-will donations will be accepted at the door. All shows take place in Sevastopol’s elementary gym.
