Sweets
History was made in the Sevastopol gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 3. Junior Naomi Rikkola recorded her 1,000th career point, the youngest girl to ever do so in Door County history.
A win is a win. The boys junior varsity basketball team won their first conference game against Gibraltar last Thursday. Rumor has it, this hasn’t been done through the past four years.
Royalty resides here in the Sevastopol hallways. Senior classmates Kylee Duessler and Emily Bley competed in the Miss Door County competition on Feb. 3. Duesler won Miss Door County, while Bley won Miss Door County’s Teen.
Who was your valentine this year? Sevastopol’s student council filled the hallways with hearts and love to spread the holiday cheer.
Sours
The 100th day of school was last week! An attempt was made to get a cute picture with our new shirts, but it left many students fumbling to find shirts. It probably would have been a better idea to get our picture immediately after handing out the shirts in the first place.
An early spring is on the way! Although we are thankful for the lack of snow, the rain is coming way too soon for some students.
We thought the phone policy was strict before. Did you know you are now only allowed two phone demerits before having to hand it in. Many students and staff are left wondering if this new phone policy is even working. Do people actually think kids leave their phones in their lockers?
A whole semester left? A lot of students are trying to catch a quick nap in various classrooms. The countdown to spring break is on.
